Many of you might be a little confused after visiting your favourite Dakota site and finding what appears to be another site entirely. Let me clear this up. I Heart Dakota is Dazzling Dakota Johnson – same site, brand new name. Elise decided to step down from the site and passed the site along to me (Mel). I was in the midst of building a Dakota site at dakota-johnson.net which I had named Dazzling Dakota Johnson so when the site was passed to me, I merged the work I had done into I Heart Dakota. I was very attached to the name Dazzling so I decided to represent both sites by retaining my sites name and I Heart Dakota’s site domain dakotajohnson.org.

In addition to merging the content I have spent some time re-organising the gallery; have finished the sites pages to include detailed information of all of Dakota’s past and upcoming projects, awards and nominations, trivia, quotes and her fanmail address; and have added a press archive and media archive (although minimal content now it will grow over time).

Please be aware that I have changed the sites twitter name from @dakotajfan to @dakotajorg so it matched the sites domain better.

What a busy weekend! After presenting “The Lost Daughter” at Venice, Dakota flew back to the United States to attend the 2021 Telluride Film Festival in Colorado, where she reunited with Jamie Dornan. She also attended “The Lost Daughter” Screening and Q&A on Sunday. I have added high-quality images to our gallery, enjoy!

Back on Friday, Dakota attended the 78th Venice Film Festival where Netflix’s “The Lost Daughter” was screened for the first time. Maggie Gyllenhaal’s directorial debut received a 5-minute standing ovation! I have added almost 600 high-quality pictures of Dakota attending both the photocall and the premiere, for which she was wearing a beautiful embroidered Gucci dress. Besides the cast, she was also joined by Alessandro Michele and Luca Guadagnino. Enjoy!

Deadline – Netflix has taken remaining worldwide territories including in the U.S. on Maggie Gyllenhaal’s directorial debut The Lost Daughter. Starring Olivia Colman, Jessie Buckley, Dakota Johnson, Peter Sarsgaard and Paul Mescal, the drama is set to world premiere in competition at the Venice Film Festival next month. The deal was negotiated by Endeavor Content and includes most major markets.

Oscar nominee Gyllenhaal also produced the project and adapted the script that’s based on the eponymous 2006 novel by Elena Ferrante. The story follows a woman whose beach vacation takes a dark turn when she begins to confront the troubles of her past.

Rounding out the cast are Oliver Jackson-Cohen, Ed Harris and Dagmara Domińczyk. The film was shot in Greece in 2020.

Gyllenhaal says, “I’m thrilled to be working with Netflix again. They have supported so much of the work I am most proud of, and this is no exception. Netflix has consistently championed filmmakers that excite and inspire me and I’m delighted to be included in that company.” Netflix previously released Gyllenhall-starrer The Kindergarten Teacher.

“Our Friend” (previously titled “The Friend”), which premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival in 2019, is finally available to watch online as of January 22. I have added over 1,400 high-quality screen captures of Dakota portraying Nicole Teague throughout the film.

Universal Pictures Home Entertainment has revealed that “Our Friend” is set to be released on January 22, 2021, in theatres and on-demand. They also released the official trailer for the film. Enjoy! 🙂
